Paul Cassell is a former United States federal judge, who is a professor at the law school of the University of Utah. Known as a well-respected expert in victims’ rights, Cassell is a key member of the Marsy’s Law National Policy team and was instrumental in the writing and passage of Marsy's Law in California, Ilinois, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Marsy’s Law is named after Marsalee “Marsy” Nicholas. Marsy was stalked and killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1983.
Dr. Nicholas has made it his mission to give victims and their families across the country constitutional protections.
