Learn More About The Children’s Alliance For Hawaii

As the State Coordinator for Marsy’s Law, one of my favorite things to do is to meet with programs and the dedicated advocates who tirelessly work with and for victims. I recently had the privilege to meet with Kent Coarsey the president and executive director and his dedicated staff.  The mission of the Children’s Alliance of Hawaii is to provide care and support for children who have been sexually abused, offering hope for the future.  They have several therapeutic services and programs available to children and their non-offending parent or family members.

The program that many advocates should know about is their Enhancement Program.  The Enhancement Program “enhances” the lives of children and adolescents who have been sexually abused  on  O‘ahu and Kaua‘i through financial assistance for items, services and activities that will help them become stable and gain a sense of normalcy, enrich development, and contribute to their healing process.  They can pay for sports related expenses, hobbies, health related expenses, or other individualized needs of the child.
