Happy New Year from Marsy’s Law for Kentucky! We are only a handful of days into what’s sure to be an exciting year, as our 2016 legislative session opened yesterday. Work is underway to complete a comprehensive Marsy’s Law bill and we’re anticipating and planning for exciting developments for our state over the coming weeks.

As work continues to bring this to life during this legislative session, I’ve spent much of my time lately traveling across Kentucky to meet with advocates and supporters, and to work alongside and learn from the women and men who are working with victims and their families each and every day.

Yesterday, I traveled to Bowling Green, to spend some time with advocates in the region, and I left there feeling truly grateful for the wonderful people working hard to help protect and support victims and their families throughout that region.

I’m thrilled with the work that is underway, and look forward to being able to share some exciting news about Marsy’s Law for Kentucky with you all very soon.
