Rep. Don Parsons Continues Work On Victims’ Rights With Marsy’s Law
Georgia State Representative Don Parsons (R-Marietta) is no stranger to standing up for victims’ rights. In 2009, Parsons introduced Georgia’s Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights which was passed and is now law in the state.
However, even with the current protections for victims, the rights of the accused still take precedence over those of the victims as they are constitutionally guaranteed. Now, Parsons is taking on the issue of this imbalance of power by supporting Marsy’s Law for Georgia.
Recently, Parsons sat down with WGAU Radio in Athens to discuss why he supports victims rights and why Marsy’s Law is a necessary next step for the state of Georgia.
