Powerful Hurricane Irma has ravaged our state leaving a path of destruction and widespread power outages, some of which will continue impacting our fellow Floridians for more days and weeks to come. Florida has never experienced a storm of this magnitude and hardly any part of the state was spared from the impacts of Irma.

As we work through the effects this storm has had on our own lives, Marsy’s Law for Florida sends our thoughts to all those affected. It will be a long, hard time of recovery and rebuilding, but we will pull together to get everyone’s lives back to normal.

We would also like to recognize and thank all the law enforcement officers, including our Marsy’s Law for Florida champion, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, firefighters, first responders and lineworkers who are working tirelessly to keep us safe and to get power back to our homes and businesses. They are true heroes.

We will continue to keep all of those dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in our hearts and minds.
