Fancy Farm, Ky. (August 4, 2016) – This Saturday, Marsy’s Law for Kentucky will join thousands of Kentuckians at St. Jerome’s Church annual Fancy Farm Picnic. Fancy Farm is one of Kentucky’s premier political events and the official kickoff of campaign season in the Bluegrass State.
Kentucky is one of only 18 states that does not provide constitutional level protections for crime victims. Marsy’s Law is a statewide effort to address this imbalance in the criminal justice system by incorporating a Victims’ Bill of Rights in the Kentucky constitution.
WHAT: Join Marsy’s Law for Kentucky at Fancy Farm. We will be educating attendees about the importance of victims’ rights and capturing the stories of Kentuckians who have been impacted by crime.
WHO: A Marsy’s Law for Kentucky representative will be on-site for interviews.
