Marsy’s Law for Montana reacts to Montana Supreme Court Ruling to Delay Implementation of Marsy’s Law
(Helena, Mont.)—Marsy’s Law for Montana spokesperson Chuck Denowh issued the following statement in reaction to today’s Supreme Court ruling regarding the implementation date of CI-116:
“Montana voters overwhelmingly passed Marsy’s Law to give crime victims in our state the important, Constitutional rights that they deserve. We’re confident that prosecutors and other elected officials will be responsive to the message voters sent in November: that Montana crime victims deserve equal rights.”

Marsy’s Law is named after Marsalee “Marsy” Nicholas. Marsy was stalked and killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1983.
Dr. Nicholas has made it his mission to give victims and their families across the country constitutional protections.
