Marsy’s Law for South Dakota Validated and Certified by Secretary of State
Our campaign to strengthen and expand rights for crime victims in South Dakota continues to gain momentum. On December 22nd, the Secretary of State validated and certified our petition signatures which qualifies our amendment to be placed on the November 8th General Election ballot.
Now that we have been certified, our initiated constitutional amendment will be listed on the ballot as “Constitutional Amendment S.” As a result, we will be urging people to “Vote Yes on S!”
Our victims' rights coalition continues to expand and we are building a strong grassroots organization of volunteers across the state. If you would like to get involved and help fight for crime victim rights, please email [email protected]arsyslaw.us.
There are many different ways you can get involved. You can write letters-to-the-editor, make phone calls, go door-to-door or help out at the booths we will be setting up at events across the state. We look forward to continuing work to bring Marsy's Law to South Dakota and hope you will get involved in the effort!
