Finding My Voice - Matt Morgan's Story

At the age of 44 years old I was repeatedly awakened by nightmares. I told my wife I haven’t had this dream since I was a kid.  It became completely debilitating in a short amount of time.  I really thought I was going crazy. With the help of my family, I found myself in a rehab center. You see, addiction was part of my story. There,  I worked through some intense therapy and I learned that these dreams were actual memories from my childhood.  I could no longer deny what had happened to me.  My whole life I hated myself and couldn’t look in the mirror,  I struggled with addiction and suicidal thoughts but really never knew why.

Marsy’s Law for Nevada is proud to announce the support of United States Representative Mark Amodei (R-NV 02). Amodei is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and received his law degree in 1983. While practicing law in Nevada Mr. Amodei has also served our state as a member of the Nevada State Assembly, the Nevada State Senate, the Colorado River Commission, and the Uniform State Law Commission, as well as various committees.

Murder Victim’s Children Still Seeking Justice

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following letter was authored by Michelle Liles, daughter of Debbie Liles who was found brutally beaten and murdered in her Jacksonville home in March 2017. Her father, Michael Liles, was the executive director of the Justice Coalition, a Jacksonville nonprofit victims’ services center. Already a victim advocate before Debbie’s tragic death, Michael channeled his grief and heartbreak into his quest to find justice for Debbie and his fierce advocacy of Amendment 6/Marsy’s Law for Florida. Several weeks ago, Michael unexpectedly passed away.

Supporters Make a Pre-Election Push for SQ 794

Day of Action

In celebration of National Make a Difference Day, Marsy’s Law for Florida, the organization advocating for crime victims’ rights through Amendment 6, will spearhead a “Day of Action” on Saturday, October 27, where supporters and volunteers will lead advocacy efforts across all 67 Florida counties, from hurricane relief efforts and bakery giveaways to community festivals and voter education.

Mother of Drunk Driving Victim Supports Amendment 6
